Sable is another great example.
I would go with plenty of colored lighting that has smooth brightness gradients going down with distance from the source instead of this extremely flat lighting style. But the amount of detail on the character and environmental object meshes seems like something I should be able to get a hang of reasonably quick. And it does look great in motion.

Oooohhh... I didn't even make the mental connection that I had just been endorsing Moebius illustrations as wonderful references for "Morrowind with Guns" Space Opera worldbuilding when I started looking for texture-less 3D game graphic styles, because those would be much easier for me to deal with than having to source and edit thousands of textures.
Ligne claire drawings and "low-poly" are basically the same principle.
