Thanks @vkc

For those who want something close to Debian testing, #siduction (by default #KDE #Plasma6) might be worth a try. It is unstable (Codename: Sid), thus before testing. This means it is tested but, it is certainly not as stable as testing.
But here is the twist. Use it with #btrfs or #timeshift and #ext4 to have efficient tools for a rollback once it breaks (and it will break sporadically) and you should be good.

Recuperar el sistema con Timeshift

All of the #MSNBC shows are available as AUDIO, we can listen anytime we want, by using a #podcastapp or a #podcastservice
I use the #FOSS Android app, #AntennaPod but you know, there is that #learningcurve with the settings and the adding the shows to it.

Listening with bluetooth earbuds when shopping, walking, driving, #timeshift is the way
@rasterweb Well the problem is there is nothing in #Linux exactly like Apple's Time Machine. In particular, nothing includes the "Migration Assistant" functionality that is based on having a current Time Machine backup. In terms of GUI, the closest thing I ever came across was a program called #Cronopete, but I never actually used it.
Many people, myself included, use two programs. I use #Timeshift to back up the system and the root directory (the latter because it changes very infrequently) and I set it to make a backup once or twice a week. Then, to back up my user directory, I use #BackInTime and have it set to make a backup every four hours. Of course these are incremental backups, in both cases my understanding is that (much like Time Machine) only data that has been added or changed since the previous backup is actually saved to the backup drive.
Timeshift has one glaring fault in that you can tell it how often to backup, but not WHEN to do the backups. There is a workaround (https://twosortoftechguys.wordpress.com/2024/07/24/how-to-force-timeshift-to-schedule-backups-at-a-specific-time-of-day/) but why they don't give you this ability in the Timeshift GUI is beyond me.
I have also never understood why it is recommended to run both programs to back up different parts of the system, or why no one has developed one program that does it all. I guess technically you can set Timeshift to back up everything but nobody seems to recommend that, and I don't really understand why. I THINK both Timeshift and BackInTime use rsync "under the hood". And there are several other #backup programs, those are just the two I have seen recommended most often for Linux users.
L&W dualboot.
I made a #Timeshift and put this on my NAS.
Now I want to reinstall @LinuxMint and delete windows.
So my disk space differs from before. And a fresh Linux Mint runs.
Can I use Timeshift to get all my data back, or does the change in disk space make this not possible?

Yes. I just accidentally ran `rm -rf /*` instead of `rm -rf ./*` like an ABSOLUTE DUMBASS and I am so pissed at myself right now that I'm laughing :))
Thank god I had btrfs snapshots with timeshift, but some files from my home directory are gone.
All my docker images & containers are gone!
Learnt the hard way that Timeshift doesn't support systems which have docker daemon running - https://github.com/linuxmint/timeshift/issues/255
I hope by unsupported, it means timeshift doesn't backup ` /var/lib/docker` and nothing else.
About the big .vdi file I thought I'd lost after mintBackup somehow corrupted it: I'd forgotten that I configured TimeShift to back up my home directory. I was able to recover my lost VM this morning!
I know it's not recommended to use TimeShift for backing up /home, but it worked and saved me a lot of time. #TimeShift

Was wondering what was eating all my disk space. Didn't feel like adding CRON for clean up, due to having #timeshift setup.
