This Week in Plasma brings launch menu customizations, better screen recordings, and improvements to Plasma's calculator.

We have simplified KMenuEdit allowing you to customize your launch menu with ease, improved the quality of full-screen recordings with Spectacle, set the "Dim Screen for Administrator Mode" to be switched on by default, and enhanced the accessibility and keyboard navigation of Plasma's Calculator.

For those who want something close to Debian testing, #siduction (by default #KDE #Plasma6) might be worth a try. It is unstable (Codename: Sid), thus before testing. This means it is tested but, it is certainly not as stable as testing.
But here is the twist. Use it with #btrfs or #timeshift and #ext4 to have efficient tools for a rollback once it breaks (and it will break sporadically) and you should be good.

#Linux #CoffeeTalk 02/2025 - #fosstopia:

For a few years I have enjoyed my #Plantronics RIG 800HD wireless headset.
https://www.riggaming.com/800-pro-series #RIG800HD

I have used them with various Linux distros, including a Chromebook, and they work great. Well, there was a niggle.... occasionally they would cut out, turn off, then come back on. At times it was annoying, but I could never figure out the cause.
Recently I installed #Solus #Plasma6 on the #System76 #Thelio desktop, and I have been having ZERO issues. In fact I truly believe the sound is superior to what I have heard before.
I love music and I am going through a wonderful experience!!

Here is my relevant system details from inxi:

For some reason, LibreWolf seems to get all timestamps wrong by one hour.

My computer is set to Time Zone CET (Berlin) and the clock in my task bar does show the correct time. But Mastodon posts and astronomy sites that show a map of the sky in my location right now are off by 1 hour. Even though they auto-detect my location right.

Since we don't have daylight saving right now, it's not a DST error.

I had this back on Fedora, so it's not a Majaro issue.
