Have you tried looking at the #Neo6502 ? I think you will find its approach "refreshing"

That's a good match for the #olimex #neo6502! I do recognize that #z80 came earlier, but having bootstrapped on a #commodore64 I do have a sweet spot for #6502.
I just wondering of is there a "free as in freedom" reimplementation of it
