What other ways do you use to keep in touch with the Maker or creative community?

A3: I think mostly here, but also I am in a WhatsApp (yeah, I know) group for Repair Cafe folks in Greater Manchester we share chat, and knowledge that helps with the #RepairCafe stuff that comes up.

I am also still with the #WorkingInWood community woodwork group that I helped set up way back in 2017, and we meet up on Thursday mornings at the Community Workshop.
Then there is the Miniatures group that meets up in the evening on the second Monday of the month.

So, having uploaded our fixes from yesterday onto #RepairMonitor we can now see how we are doing officially.

I should point out that I really don't think that all UK repair cafes upload their results to Repair Monitor, so this isn't very official at all, but it makes us feel good.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- "People with a broken piece of jewelry or some clothing that needs to be fixed might be able to get it done for free at an upcoming event.

"The Cville TimeBank will be holding a Repair Café at the Scrappy Elephant on Allied Street on April 26.

"Attendees can bring up to three items in need of repair.

"Volunteers will be on hand to fix items. Repairs will be limited to 25 minutes if there are others waiting for assistance.

"However, organizers say there will be no jewelry soldering or extensive bead restringing at this event.

Another go at having my gorgeous old Minsk Radio Works Tento Selena B-215 radio looked at at today's @tog #RepairCafe.

The gentleman I spoke to wasn't the electronics expert (as he freely told me) but we took the back off anyway in the hope of finding a large toggle switch in the "off" position - but instead found this wonderful city of unfamiliar electronic components. Those terracotta slivers - are they capacitors? How about the big ceramic components? I expected to recognise more!

This machine seemingly dates from 1985 and was built in the USSR for the export market. So the exact same vintage, but from a very different economic system, as my Atari 130XE.

Gestern ist überraschand unser Staubsaugerrobotor durch das Loch im Dachboden gefallen und 2,5 m tiefer aufgeschlagen.

Wir hatten aber Glück und heute war im @HSB das #repaircafe in #bielefeld. Also alles aufs Rad geschnallt und jetzt fährt er wieder

Great #RepairCafe in #Swansea this morning. On our sewing table we repaired two coats, a dressing gown, a dress, a shirt and a plush toy dachshund!
I was surprised at how busy the room was - really encouraging to see people engaging with the café idea
