I've often wondered if i would enjoy the result from singing into a ribbon microphone. Unfortunately I know so little about the ones currently available (or vintage models that actually have an XLR out).

What are your thoughts? Better off using a plug-in to emulate? What models have you tried?

Klar, Schoeps und Neumann würde man lieben, aber abgesehen vom Preis stellen die ihre #Grenzflächenmikrofone nicht mehr her.

I'd really like to know what is the exact difference between current #AllenHeath preamps and AD converts such as those in the #AllenHeathCQ or #AllenHeathSQ series… and standard #RME gear such as the old and new #Fireface series.

Why? Because the CQ12t is a lot more convenient to use for me than my old Fireface 400. Yet the Fireface's two mic inputs seem to be the best preamps I own.

Richtig: Ein Mischpult kann eigentlich nie groß genug sein.

4 hochwertige Mic-Inputs (#RME Preamp/Wandler) sind noch frei. 22 weitere Kanäle sind voll auf dem #Yamaha #01V96i. Noch 6 weitere Kanäle sind Returns aus dem Rechner. Die vier internen Effektmaschinen haben 4 weitere Stereokanäle in Beschlag.

Hey I'm back from #recording at the sandstone tower and I'm happy to report that I have 3 new demos for the #offlinealbum :)

Along with my visit to the tower went the stipulation that I wouldn't read the news or visit social media while I am there.

I'm not saying the solution to everything is to withdraw completely, but I have to admit: It was *really* nice not to be reminded every day all the sh*t going wrong in this world (which btw rendered the demos a bit more introspective…)
