@empathicqubit the reason I didn't buy the #Fairphone4 (and #WontBuy the #Fairphone5) is because it's a massive #downgrade from the #Fairphone3+:
no real #DualSIM (#eSIM is not a valid replacement unless it's a removeable #SIM card!)
Removal of 3,5mm #TRRS jack (#Sony made #waterproof jacks over a decade ago for their #Xperia Z line!)
Way more expensive (I'm not gonna pay > €500 for a smartphone!) than is reasonable for any smartphone whatsoever.
No features worth the cost of upgrading; only #downgrade|s!

Schon schick, wenn man - nur mit einem Schraubendreher und einem Plektrum bewaffnet - mal eben eine neue Front- und eine neue Rückkamera ins Smartphone einbauen kann.

Ich hab gestern endlich mein #Fairphone3Plus mit #LineageOS neu aufgesetzt. Ich liebe es, Sachen neu aufzusetzen. 
Es ist übrigens nicht empfehlenswert, die Speicherkarte als integrierten Speicher zu benutzen (es wird ja auch explizit davon abgeraten bei der Installation). Ich hatte das jetzt aber sehr lange so, und es bröselt und bröckelt dann immer mehr, bis es nicht mehr auszuhalten ist.
Diesmal hat es wenigstens gleich am Anfang gscheit nicht funktioniert. Nach einem ersten Neustart waren alle bereits konfigurierten Apps wieder leer oder konnten gar nicht starten. Also gleich wieder zurückgesetzt und die Speicherkarte als externen Speicher definiert. Jetzt ist es gut.
Eine Entscheidung zu meinem #Fairphone3Plus ist gefallen: die einzige realistische Option ist, das Motherboard auszubauen und im Backofen für 15Min. bei 200-220°C zu backen.
Nach meiner Recherche hat das bei etwa 50% der Fälle zumindest ein Zeitfenster zum Daten retten eröffnet.

What really pisses me off is that everyone thinks @frameworkcomputer and #Fairphone are glorious, when in fact even #Framework13 & #Fairphone4 / #Fairphone5 are objectively #Downgrade|s compared to what I'm currently using: [ #ThinkPad #X230Tablet & #Fairphone3plus ]
The newer Fairphones don't have real #DualSIM and instead of a 2nd SIM Slot a shitty #eSIM and removed the #HeadphoneJack for no valid reason!
#Framework doesn't have #ToolfreeSwappable #Batteries so having more #offgrid range isn't done by a quick swap on the go.
Starting a new "project", config file for #Fairphone3Plus to permit running the proprietary app com.google.ar.core on my #fairphone .
I'm not very happy to improve proprietary software instead of write an alternative, but this is sadly over my capacity. Hope that #microg will add google ARCore support in the future.
