Here's the classic yellow #Sony #Walkman that I still have. It still works - just needs new batteries. I still have music cassettes too

An open, portable cassette player, a Sony Walkman, is held in my hand. The case is light gray, with an open top revealing the tape player mechanism inside which includes two black sprockets with a black, horizontal tape alignment bar above the control buttons. The buttons are gray and show signs of use. A yellow, metal-framed door for a cassette is presented at the bottom.

I'm just angry that #Sony and their #PlayStation games stopped being released on #GOG after their stupid (failed) attempt to force PSN sign-ups in order to play

I'd have bought The Last of Us Pt.2 by now, but 𝘯𝘰𝘵 being on GOG gives me pause. Instead of a no-brainer instant buy from me, it's a...'𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵'

Anyone on #Mastodon who is into #gaming on a #SteamDeck. Can you say how it's playing on there? I'm on the road traveling at the moment, and away from my PC.

@empathicqubit the reason I didn't buy the #Fairphone4 (and #WontBuy the #Fairphone5) is because it's a massive #downgrade from the #Fairphone3+:

no real #DualSIM (#eSIM is not a valid replacement unless it's a removeable #SIM card!)
Removal of 3,5mm #TRRS jack (#Sony made #waterproof jacks over a decade ago for their #Xperia Z line!)
Way more expensive (I'm not gonna pay > €500 for a smartphone!) than is reasonable for any smartphone whatsoever.
No features worth the cost of upgrading; only #downgrade|s!

There’s something magical about watching a picture develop right after you take it—like with a Polaroid. But recently, I tried an old Sony Mavica, and the moment I heard and felt the tiny whir of the floppy drive saving the image right after pressing the shutter… it was a whole other kind of magic.
