I have definitely learned that success requires more than just technical knowledge. Here I share the 5 most important lessons I've learned:
Support and consulting are not the same thing, but they are often very close
Many people simply want a short, clear answer to their problem.
As a student, I used to think of 5 minutes as “no time”. Today, I think of everything that can be done in 5–10 minutes.
With the "problem-solving-framework" you have a heuristic tool to reduce a lot of cognitive load when solving a request question.
Train the customer instead of doing everything for him changes the customer relationship and builds trust.
