Hyperdog – Tales From The Mountain
(Garage Punk/ Goodbye Boozy Records)

This trip wouldn't be worth it if we didn't visit The Trashmen and Surfin bird, from 1963! I have a vinyl single around here somewhere... And people wondered why I liked The Cramps.

The Sonics - thanks for the reominder @jake4480 - The Witch. When you think you're kicking against the pricks, it is good to remember we've been doing it for at least 6 decades in this instance. Fuck, it was already old when I first heard heard... feeling quite a bit older tonight.

Did someone mention The Chocolate Watchband doing I'm not like everybody else. 1968, I believe.

I wouldn't be doing justice to Arthur Lee and Love to not share the album version of Signed DC. You want tragedy in musical form? Enjoy.
Bonus - there's harmonica that is hauting as fuck.

Love, possible one of the most important bands of my musical childhood. Arthur Lee is, or should be legend. I'm really scraping yt for old footage tonight as I've never seen this shit.

So, I got on to a bit of a trip down memory lane for 60s garage punk and was going to share one song from The Sorrows called Take a heart. I've only ever heard the record, yes, vinyl. I stumbled on a live recording at the Beat Club, on yt - the sound quality is not as good, but I've never actually seen them before so my mind is now blown and this rabbit hole might deepen.

Something stupid was promised for the evening, so here it is. The Barracudas, Summer Fun. Mostly for the intro from an actual (I believe) Levis commercial. 60s garage-punk-inspired but from the late 70s - imagine a English Surf Rock band and presto magic, you have the Barricudas.
