Poster Prize at the Einstein Telescope Annual Meeting
Congratulations to our colleague Graziano Pascale, a PhD student in the “Lasers and Squeezed Light” group at @mpi_grav in Hannover and at @unihannover.
Last week, Graziano won one of the poster prizes at the Einstein Telescope Annual Meeting in Warsaw.
He presented his research on a new method for stabilizing the power of laser beams to meet the stringent requirements of the next generation of ground-based detectors, such as the Einstein Telescope or Cosmic Explorer.

This doodle was left behind in a conference room of the Einstein Telescope annual meeting at the end of the week. I always enjoy looking out for those.
The very new ET logo, tested on merchandise. Some of this was in the goody bag for the meeting attendees. (There is no other way to get it, at least not yet).
This week many of us are the annual meeting of the Einstein Telescope which is in Warsaw this time. As always, it's the time for many interesting interactions, and also the opportunity to see old friends.

New profile picture: The Einstein Telescope is a planned European third-generation gravitational-wave detector. It will be about 10 times more sensitive than today's instruments.
The @mpi_grav has long played a leading role in gravitational-wave research and is a co-initiator of the Einstein Telescope.

Al Censer nuovi materiali per le onde gravitazionali. Nascerà un centro per studiare le onde gravitazionali, sorgerà al Censer e sarà attivo dal 2025. A Rovigo aprirà un laboratorio di ricerca per lo studio delle tecnologie e dei materiali necessari a rilevare le onde gravitazionali.
