The ceasefire that was brokered between the #SNA (backed by #Turkey) and the Kurds of #Rojava (North-East #Syria) is still holding both in the city of #Aleppo and on the #TishrinDam on the #Euphrates river
The ceasefire was brokered with the support of the (US-led) "Global coalition" and the intervention of the army of the new Syrian transitional government (former #HTS), which will act as interposition force between the warring factions

Not very long ago, Iraq was liberated from Saddam Hussein and what followed was an absolute "crap"show of bungled nation-building. The new government spent a long time apparently doing nothing and eventually their first act was to waste a lot of time coming up with a new flag.
This was rightly ridiculed all around, world-wide. It was a self inflicted self own that humiliated everyone involved (including the Bush admin)
it's true about Iraq, but Syria has already changed its flag.
It has already sent the new design to the United Nations.
