@adbenitez @opensourceopenmind #DeltaChat is federated via email, so #metadata-wise it is #verbose, I think (as #matrix is also verbose, maybe even more).
That's one of the advantages of #signal, that it is quite quiet on #metadata.
I think you could also check #briar, #SimpleXChat, or when it is ready #reticulum-based #LXMF when you just want to have other options and don't care about communicating with a wide audience which is not coming from a hacker bubble.

I got nothing for Signal. I used my brother's phone number but the 6 digit verification number just doesn't come.. He doesn't even know what Signal app is, so I doubt he used his phone number to sign up.
Guess this isn't the day to meddle with Signal. "No Signal" I guess :(
I'mma stick with SimpleX chat. This and the email. I dunno about Matrix+Element though
I now have SimpleX Chat, lol. Idk I was bored so I set one up!

There is no messenger that is more secure than Threema!
You can use the ThreemaApp 100% anonymous and most importent: Their server doen´t collect metadata or IP´s! More privacy isn´t possible!

- care about users/product much more than about #codequality [debatable, but imho closely related?]
- high pace and intensity, longer hours
- a substantial part of the compensation is stock options
