Se è vero che occuparsi di certe questioni non era certo appannaggio di isolate avanguardie nel fermento rivoluzionario attorno al 1977, anno della prima pubblicazione dell’Antimaschio, rimane senza precedenti che a farlo siano stati in questo caso gruppi di soli uomini decisi a impegnarsi in pratiche di <a class="mention hashtag" href="https://mostr.pub/tags/autocoscienza" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#autocoscienza</a> . Scopo di tali gruppi era quello di «mettere in crisi il ruolo maschile», nella consapevolezza che ciò «vuol dire inevitabilmente scavarsi dolorosamente dentro», iniziando a dare un nome ai propri privilegi, misurando il proprio grado di complicità a un sistema oppressivo che non manca, in ultima istanza, di opprimere i suoi stessi perpetratori, ovvero i maschi. MartiMiccicheIl patriarcato è un sistema di potere e come tale si ripete nella comune accettazione, si rintana in quell’ovvietà che lo rende così normale da essere invisibile. Per chi lo subisce è concreto come cemento, ma difficile da nominare. Di patriarcati ce ne sono tanti, ma un modello egemone si è diffuso imponendosi attraverso il colonialismo e arrivando anche là dove patriarcato, binarsimi e gerarchie nemmeno esistevano.
