Storing #RDF or #LinkedData is the easy part (I am working on #activitypub client, so everything is JSON-LD anyway), but as soon as I need to formulate queries like "Give me list of the activities from all the actors who are on the following collection of my user, sorted by published/updated date", the amount of data mangling that I need to do is already making me think "ok, why don't I just push all of this to sqlite?"

#couchdb experts (@janl, @nolan), any suggestions here?

My (and @codecraft 's) #TaganakNet #RDF server in #Rust has reached a milestone: It can load its own config from an RDF data source (much like slapd's cn=config backend), and uses its own ORM-like derive-macro-based structs for it 🎉!

Now we can start implementing useful #LinkedData things on top of it (#Vocata, at some point).

Volle zaal bij de 2e bijeenkomst voor BOMOS (Beheer- en Ontwikkelmodel voor Open Standaarden) met een update van de BOMOS community activiteiten, hoe de open Aquo standaard beheerd en gefinancierd wordt en wat de rol van AI kan zijn bij BOMOS en ’s middags een nog vollere zaal bij het PLDN evenement met meerdere presentaties rondom de Kadaster Knowledge Graph (KKG), over ModelDesk en over Open Standaarden als Linked Data.

Steeds meer ICT standaarden maken gebruik van Linked Data principes, en samen duiken we in de opkomende praktijk van standaarden in Linked Data.

Very nice poster "Getting the Grips with huge SKOS datasets" - Exploding mittens. Exploding Mittens - Getting to grips with huge SKOS datasets Creators: Posthumus, Etienne The ICONCLASS classification system contains more than 1 million SKOS nodes in English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Dutch, Polish and Czech- in short a non-trivial large corpus of Linked Data. It is possible to load the data into performant triplestores, but becomes challenging in a production setting. Query performance using conventional SPARQL constructs is unacceptable to end-users, and finding relevant search results for users queries is an informational retrieval challenge due to the redundant yet slightly variant nature of the Art Historical classification data. We created a virtual Linked Data query engine that integrates a SPARQL API with semantic embeddings using BERT based transformers and RDF2Vec knowledge graph embeddings to provide performant queries in the Dutch Netwerk Digitaal Erfgoed termen netwerk.
