Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse, South Portland, Maine, 4/11/2024. Took these on a quick overnight trip last year. I need to get back when they start doing tours this season!

This is a landscape format colour photograph taken from underneath a wooden pier. Taken standing on the concrete sea wall, the wooden struts of the pier curve away from the viewer to the left. Light falls through the boards of the walkway above creating a grid of shadows and light. Between the struts to the left, the sea is visible together with a further seawall on which stands a lighthouse. The light is diffuse and the colours muted: it almost appears grey scale. Taken with a Sony RX100 in Whitby, Yorkshire.

#1jour1souvenir 18 mars 2008, le #phare de Landegode et 50 km + loin, de l'autre côté du Vestfjord, le "mur des Lofoten", première étape de cette balade tout là-haut. Je vais m'arrêter 4 jours pour visiter un peu l'archipel, avant de reprendre l'hurtigruten pour continuer vers le nord.

Beautiful sunset at The Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine in summertime of 2022. Love the 2 Adirondack chairs perched by the cliff side near that beautiful home!

*Edit* Looks like the second photo, which was a panorama, was cropped down to the middle of the photo, which somehow oddly works sort of as it is still the middle of the view if you looked right to left…
