This is one stage of #spinning yarn, the plying. After making one long strand, called a single, I wind it into a fat cake so I can put my finger through thru the center to wind both ends together at the same time, making a 2 ply yarn. This is more yarn for my ongoing blanket I'm making with fur from my kitties. See alt text for more details. I'll post another progress pic in a few days. #handspinning #handmade #handcraft

Several hundred yards of thin gray and white yarn have been wound into a cake about 6 inches across, and several inches tall. The yarn in the center has collapsed inward, forming a messy 6 point star. Out at the edge, the yarn is more compacted, making a smooth circle.
After winding away most of the yarn from inside the cake and outside, the remaining yarn looks all wrinkled and messy. It forms a loose bracelet around my fingers.
This is the very end of the ply, just one last loop over my thumb, which is the center point of that huge cake.
This is my electric spinning machine. It's an oak frame nearly a foot long, which holds a small black electric motor on the bottom right, and a large black bobbin, about 8 inches long, which is thickly wound with my finished plied yarn, which is irregular shades of gray and white.

This time a compact planner, recycling pages from an old #zelda calendar.

The #planner is a 2 sections 3 hole binding.

The #endpaper used was an experiment i did last summer trying to make #marbledpaper (although the experiment didn´t went very well)

The template is done with #scribus

29th November 2023: First fire #flames in the new #oven with #flat #vault realized as minor #arch. Smoke outlet at the back left of the combustion chamber. Bottom of the oven lined with special #fireclay #baking plates ('Wieselburger Bäckerplatten')

PS: This amount of #burning wood would is enough for the first #fire.
Unfortunately, I added far more wood afterwards.
