Your #Bluesky Posts Are Probably In A Bunch of Datasets Now
Now that the seal is broken on scraping Bluesky posts into datasets for #MachineLearning, people are trolling users & one-upping each other by making increasingly massive datasets of non-anonymized, full-text Bluesky posts taken directly from the #SocialMedia platform’s public #firehose —including one that contains almost 300 million posts.

@stefan »there has been a huge influx of people posting insightful replies like "Trump is orange and bad" so in the absence of magic I think more options are needed. bots are quite capable of taking advantage of "oldest first", the old default by replying to everything on the firehose.«

Hilarious! So, the #Bluesky #Firehose concept (everything is open on Bluesky’s architecture for all participants) seems to become its Achilles heel.
