Well, tonight's sunset in Glasgow suddenly went from good to spectacular - but the most impressive part of it only lasted for about five minutes!

Weißgraue Wolken (nicht etwa weißer Rauch) über Hamburg-Eimsbüttel ...
Weather is a reminder that life and circumstances and things in general change: storms don't last forever any more than sunny skies do.
It's easy to forget this, but then again, we live in a world where the weather channel forebodingly intones -- as if it were something unusual, new, and frightening: "Weather Is Unpredictable!"

Stress—good or bad? Personally, I could do without it. It often stems from dwelling on problems, and even when you try to move on, they stubbornly resurface—like a scratched record skipping back to the same track. At best, it’s frustrating. But the truth is, the issue usually isn’t as catastrophic as it feels. From an outsider’s perspective, that earth-shattering problem shaking your world might not seem all that significant. More often than not, stress arises from overreacting to everyday challenges—things everyone deals with in some form. Of course, not all problems are universal; some are uniquely our own.
"The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another." – William James
This cloud pattern (very common in the North German Plain in May and June) has always fascinated me and I never could really figure out what's going on.
Clearly, there is a very sharp separation between a denser bottom layer of air that forms no clouds and has a very flat surface.
And then there is a top layer of air that does form clouds, but they are concentrated into clumps with similar height, but no flat air layer blocking the top. And they don't spread out evenly.
Interesting skies over Glasgow this morning. I think it's what's called a Mackerel Sky (because it looks likw the fish of the same name), which usually means there's a change of weather on its way.
It's so nice here . the breeze has that mid season feel . #clouds #photography #sunset #autumn #australia #crow
