Well I'm glad to see that the ever flexibel, deescalating <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/EU" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EU</span></a> is sticking with its guns. </p><p>Beyond the shameless demand that we buy American I think the main issue for the US is that we'd become less dependent on them, that we arent as easily pressured, cajoled, forced or neutralized.</p><p>Same with the desire from <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/RussianImperialism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RussianImperialism</span></a> to get us hooked again on their gas. Hell its probably the reason why the <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/US" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>US</span></a> is so anti renewable.
