Es que, sin ir más lejos, China prácticamente tiene el monopolio de la extracción, refinado y comercio de las tierras raras, los materiales indispensables para esta nueva era tecnológica (no son solo los móviles o tablets, sino también televisores, microondas, radares electrónicos, baterías, material militar moderno...). ¿Un 104% de arancel a todo lo chino? ¿En serio? ¿De verdad crees que eso te favorece a ti?Que se harte China y te corte del todo el suministro de tierras raras y ya verás dónde acabas. Juan LoboYo veo un error que <a href="https://masto.es/tags/Europa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Europa</a> tienda la mano a Estados Unidos después de todos los feos, ofensas y desplantes y prometa aranceles cero si se avienen a negociar. Le reconozco la estrategia psicológica y de imagen, que frente a tanta confrontación y malos modales en su sosegada y amable (pero firme) comparecencia Ursula von der Leyen casi se ha erigido como la líder del mundo libre y democrático basado en reglas (quién lo iba a decir, pero frente a Trump no es difícil parecer Churchill), pero aún así creo que se equivoca. Es ceder al chantaje y darle la razón al matón. Y es desperdiciar este despertar de Europa. O, bueno, quizá Ursula es más inteligente de lo se cree y ofrece tender la mano sabiendo que Trump no va a ceder mientras por detrás prepara medidas mucho más serias que las anunciadas.De todas formas, si finalmente se negocia con <a href="https://masto.es/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Trump</a> espero que sea unidos como bloque y no país por país, eso sí que sería una derrota. Juan LoboNo soy experto en economía y no tengo ni idea de las medidas que está preparando la UE como respuesta a los aranceles de <a href="https://masto.es/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Trump</a>, pero la <a href="https://masto.es/tags/UE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#UE</a> si quiere puede joder vivos a los Estados Unidos (jodiéndonos también a nosotros de paso, es lo que tiene una guerra comercial).En la primera represalia la <a href="https://masto.es/tags/Uni%C3%B3nEuropea" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#UniónEuropea</a> ha sido muy inteligente, eligiendo muy bien y cuidadosamente ciertos productos aparentemente absurdos y triviales (Levis, Harley Davidson, el bourbon) pero pensados para hacer daño a Trump (productos de fabricación muy localizada y con fuerte impacto económico en un estado clave para Trump, en el estado del presidente republicano del Congreso, etc.). Ahora imagino que ya se estará mirando aplicar aranceles más generalizados.Lo que digo, y lo que sueño, es que si quiere <a href="https://masto.es/tags/Europa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Europa</a> puede joder vivo a EE.UU., aparte de poniendo aranceles a productos agrícolas estadounidenses, pues, por ejemplo, se me ocurre que penalizando fuertemente a productos de Hollywood y a plataformas de streaming como Prime, HBO o Netflix. Que cuesten una pasta gansa. Tendremos que ver más producto europeo o, sorpresa, arriba la piratería. Con lo que les gusta.Y si Trump se pone bruto con eso y responde con aranceles del 200%, pues nada, Amazon fuera de Europa.
