But one thing that <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MonochromeMonday?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MonochromeMonday</a> made me realize is that <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/bnw?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#bnw</a> photos help reduce the "noise" of people; they simply blend into the image because there's no hot pink top or sparkly shoes that draw the eye. Maybe this is obvious to you professionals, but for me it has become a game changer and I'm rediscovering a lot of my photos in <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/BlackAndWhite?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#BlackAndWhite</a> that I didn't like very much before because of those pesky <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/humans?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#humans</a> in them. Mark and MarieContinuing the 2008 trip to China, a short walk from Tiananmen Square brought us to the Forbidden City which we walked the length of with our guide pointing out the halls and palaces along the way. Pictured is one of a pair of bronze lion sculptures guarding the Gate of Supreme Harmony. The lion cub under the paw symbolises abundant offspring for the emperor and indicates this lion is female.
