...My analysis of the pre-election mood of the country was "grumpy", now we've moved on to whatever comes next, "crotchety"?

The big WE (citizens, voters) must up our game to match enlightened leaders like Mr. Crow. We can't just sit around and complain all day. There are malevolent forces out there (Putin, Musk, Facebook, etc.) but the basic fact is: We are here because more than 50% of us voted for the Orange God King... We voted to "tip the applecart and see what happens". In the software world this is called "move fast and break things". And it's stupid.
