Today I bought a 2nd hand Thinkpad. It's my first thinkpad ever and I'm happy with it. In the following days I'm going to install a nice OS on it and in the future it's quite possible that I will replace the BIOS with CoreBoot

Braucht irgendjemand #Coreboot Sticker? Ich habe jetzt mehr als ich selber brauchen kann. 
Das vollständige Logo ist 75×59mm groß, der Hase alleine 50×41mm und der Schriftzug alleine 83×19mm. Ich trinke ja nichts, aber diese Bestellung von 3×10 Stück kommt einer bsoffenen Gschicht schon ziemlich nahe. 
Mindestens einer davon landet gleich auf meinem Laptop…

Can someone explain why #system76 has open source UEFI firmware but #framework does not? Is open source firmware a goal for framework or is that not really on their radar? It seems like it would be.

System of course is running #coreboot, and can be used to do renders in Blender, edit AV1 videos, and play AAA games thanks to Intel Arc A580 GPU installed in it.

I thought that building #Libreboot would be easy as pie. Like ... I already built #Coreboot and know the process, what could possibly go wrong?
BUT ... the libreboot became the first #OpenSource software (since 2008), that I can't build properly. 
Yep, it configures via ./mk -m coreboot x220_8mb and builds via ./mk -b coreboot x220_8mb. But it ignores my custom configuration and builds with the configuration from the llibreboot devs. Every time
