Who doesn't love a good abandoned power plant? Gould St. Power Station was built as a flagship plant during the public utility wars in Baltimore, a fascinating period in history.

I mean, yes: someone's going to point out that abandoned power stations are terrible for the environment and that is 100% true. But also, they do look super cool.
@AbandonedAmerica I was in love with Battersea PS in London, so I understand what you mean
@mora @AbandonedAmerica I love what they've done with the place, it's nice to see local youth chilling out and making it feel lived in. I like to observe the rich people and how they act as well, like a wildlife spot, seeing the various species at the water hole.
Mad to think a big old coal power station was chugging away right in the centre of London and people were like "this killer fog, it's just how London is"
@AbandonedAmerica @mora there's an big art gallery just down the South Bank, a Tate. Another station very similar to Battersea repurposed into a FABULOUS art space, enormous central hall perfect for all sorts of big ideas.
@AbandonedAmerica @mora then you will not be disappointed
@Lazarou @AbandonedAmerica @mora Seconded - the Tate Modern is absolutely worth it.
@AbandonedAmerica @Lazarou @mora I’d love to visit it one day
@mora oh, I bet. That place was amazing
